Andrea Kelly wins Best Actress at Underground Cinema Awards and Best Performance at Bolton Film Festival for ‘Scope’

Andrea Kelly has been awarded best actress at this years Underground Cinema Awards which took place on Saturday Night in Dun Laoghaire’s Royal Marine Hotel. The accolade was awarded to Andrea for her performance in short film, ‘Scope’ directed by Dublin based filmmaker, Richard Keaney. In the film, Andrea Kelly plays a woman attempting to overcome agoraphobia with the help of her son who has dropped out of college to care for her. Upon announcing the win, Underground Cinema hailed it a “beautiful performance”. The film was also nominated for Best Actor for Fiach Kunz.

This comes off the back of another win for Andrea at October’s Bolton Film Festival in the UK where she won Best Performance. The festival jury was lead by acclaimed actress Maxine Peake.

‘Scope’ garnered 12 international film festival selections on top of two wins and three nominations. You can view it on YouTube below:
